MH370: THE ENIGMA OF THE LOST FLIGHT
Steve was commissioned to produce and direct a three part series for the launch of the new streaming service, Paramount+. 'MH370: The Enigma of the Lost Flight' is the first time the story of the Malaysia Airlines flight that disappeared in 2014 with the loss of 239 people has been told from the relatives perspective. It has already received many 5 star reviews and was described in the Independent as 'a rare disaster documentary done right.'
FRANK SINATRA BIOPIC
In 2020, Steve produced and directed a three-part series about Frank Sinatra with Viacom Studios for the British broadcaster, Channel 5. The series is the definitive story of the entertainers’ life with contributions from some of the last remaining close friends of the legendary singer and actor. A feature length version called 'Frank Sinatra: King of the Crooners' was also broadcast at the launch of Paramount+.
JOHNNY THUNDERS BIOPIC
Steve has been asked to direct a new biopic about the legendary guitarist and singer, Johnny Thunders starring Michael Imperioli from the Sopranos.
‘So Alone’ tells the story of the legendary punk rock forefather from his humble beginnings in New York to his untimely and mysterious death in a New Orleans Hotel room. It is the story of a shooting star's rise to fame in the 70's which takes us from New York Underground clubs with The New York Dolls to London where Johnny's Heartbreakers opened for The Sex Pistols and inspired Punk Rock. It also tells, for the first time, the true details of his tragic death and casts doubt on the official version that he died of a heroin overdose. Written by Johnny Black, Produced by Carey Borth with Michael Imperioli as Johnny Thunders.
US TRUE CRIME SERIES
Steve is also currently directing the drama for the eight-part Discovery ID series, ‘Til Death Do Us Part’ with the Oscar winning production company, Lightbox.
The company is better known for its Oscar and Emmy winning output which includes Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man, Whitney and the Netflix feature documentary Tell Me Who I Am.
